Taiwan is an independent country that is completely separate from China
I know this because as a kid my GI Joe action figures has “Made in Taiwan” stamped on their asses
Not “made in China” like some of my other toys
This blog is now illegal in China
Yet, soon to be wildly popular in Taiwan
I also had toys that said they were made in Hong Kong…
I miss the idea of Hong Kong
I think the British miss “their” Hong Kong” as well
My iPod randomly reset itself today
That makes me not so happy
I have slept a pretty good amount (for me) over the last few days
Why am I soooo tired then?
No Sausage Barley soup yesterday
Prolly none tonight as well
Little Man has discovered white chicken chili
It was a good discovery for him
I think that will be dinner for the evening
Bleck! I am not a fan of chili of any format
Mainly because I am not a big fan of bean based dishes
I do like green beans, however
Little Man, on the other hand, seems to be rather enamored of the slow cooked bean based slurries
I should write for a food magazine
Nothing says appetizing like “slurry”

Did I mention that my iPod randomly reset itself?
That is annoying, to say the least
Now I am listening to my meager 8 gigs of music on the PC
Of course that music is old and decrepit
Much like my knees
And, sadly, my ankles
I am looking forward to the reactions to the Holiday/Christmas card tomorrow
It really should be enjoyable
By enjoyable I mean not for Q or Little Man
Wifey and I love them though

If he were this engaging all the time, it would not be too big a deal to see him more often
Usually it is like pulling teeth to get him to interact

It doesn’t help that my sleep hunting skills seem to erode as I get more stressed

Unless dealing with a sleep deprived and over stressed SRH is your idea of positive

Little Man loves the game Blockus
G-Ma D and G-Pa R gave him the game for his birthday
When he has noty been asleep, eating, or playing trains he has either been playing Blockus, or complaining that he isn’t playing Blockus

Wifey and I have 7 picture frames that desperately need 7 pictures
It would help our bedroom look so much better
That and putting the clean clothes away
Hey, our house looks amazingly nice considering that we have an 8 week old baby
My feet hurt

Little Man can read the word “off”
We are golden if we can just get him to spell F-U-C… oh, you get the idea
The problem with hippos is…
Not their over aggressive nature
Not their poor eyesight
No, Princess Leia, not their easily recognizable foul stench
Not even their ability to defecate at Will
Poor poor poo covered Will
It is their monumental sense of entitlement
You aren’t all that and a bag of chips, Hippo
Uppity hippos and their “holier than thou-ness”
One would think that more sleep over the weekend would help
One would be incorrect
MORE sleep just reminds the body of what it has not been getting regularly
I have 59 icons on my work computer’s desktop
I think I need to clean that up a bit
A little spring cleaning and now I am at 17 icons
Turns out that Little Man is well motivated by greed
We made an accomplishment chart for him
Now all he seems to be doing is accomplishing
Q is doing well… um... as well?
Sometimes me no wordify good
I just ate a boatload of paella
Oddly that is whatI had for dinner last night
That is one of the issues of re-heating food at work
You end up having very similar (if not the same) meals in rapid succession
I am hungry again already
I am ashamed that I started this recap before lunch and will not be posting it until 2 pm-ish

Little Man is a bit under the weather today
He is all congested and snotty
His asthma is also flaring up
We are hoping that it is similar to a bug I had last week
That only lasted 3 days

Plumbers should get everything attached tomorrow for the new bathroom

We bought a wall mount light for the new bathroom
We need a ceiling mount light for the new bathroom
We went with a vessel sink

To Recap:

It really is just stupid

Today is my brother’s birthday
I need to figure out a way to sleep better/more
This sleep deprivation stuff just isn’t hacking it
Wifey is out of town all of next week
I don’t know how single parents do it
I am not looking forward to her absence
I got the hairs cut today, Thanks JW!
I don’t mind rain, but seriously, this can stop now
My basement is weeping for all of this rain
I define “weeping” as water coming up through the cracks
Tonight shall be a night of soggy laundry
I mean, really, why dress alike, People?

Matching shirts just make you look stupid
Matching shirts AND matching pants make me question your intelligence even more

In fact, I bet he would be detrimental to t-shirt production

Little Man got tasked with the snack bucket for his preschool class for tomorrow
Many a mini banana muffin shall be baked tonight
Good lord I am tired
I think snow makes me tired
Cause it was snowing earlier today
And I am near immeasurably tired
In fact I have dozed off at least twice since starting this post
That is not a good sign for the boring ass conference call this afternoon
Caffeine shall be present
In cold liquid form
The people hosting the conference call don’t know why I am supposed to be there

Yet, everyone, save me, insists that I be there
I insist that I be in a bed sleeping

I slept for crap last night

Since I have been incapable to come up with a topic today (5 pitiful attempts: about the kitchen, weather, my blogaversary, about some work crap, and about some stuff at home) I shall just give you (all 4 of you) a big old recap.

Not sure what we are having for dinner tonight
One of the problems with living in the area I live in is that after a strong rain there is a significant amount of water in the basement floor
It usually takes an evening to clean the water up
Wifey did it in an afternoon
She’s a badass
No other way to slice it
Wifey = Badass
I am slowly running out if the vitamins and supplements I am supposed to take
The list of what I am recommended to take: magnesium, B-12, glucosimine, fish oil, and a multivitamin
The list of what I have left in the vitamin jar: magnesium and a multi-vitamin
I should really keep on top of the supplements, they do actually help
Can you believe I have been blathering here for almost 3 years?
3 years minus 6 days actually
You see, my Blogaversary is this upcoming Tuesday
At that point my blog will be 3

If I were with it and hip I would be doing crap on Facebook and Myspace
I have never been able to get into those sites
Primarily because my work blocks them

To recap:
I think that Little Man is getting a bit tired of me
He is getting a bit cranky and ouchy
He was a bit disappointed in seeing me this morning
I don’t blame him
I must have looked a fright
You see, I am not sleeping well at all
It takes forever for me to fall into a restless sleep
I get waaay more junk email at work than I probably should
Especially since I cannot go to many websites to virtually sign up for the stuff
DAMN YOU INTERNET COOKIES! DAMN YOU TO HELL!!!
Right now there are 56 messages in my “Junk Mail” folder
I cleaned that folder out yesterday before leaving work
Little Man tried some faux Monterey Jack and faux Cheddar cheese last night on his tacos
He liked it very much
Ate a handful of the stuff by itself after I grated it up for taco consumption
Then he had some on his taco, so it clearly wasn’t a fluke
The dishwasher has been running almost non-stop since Wifey left
I trimmed Little Man’s toe nails and finger nails last night
He was very patient with the fumbling papa
So, take that nail clipping doubters!
Did I mention I was tired?
Nope, I just said, “I am not sleeping well at all”
To clarify then, I am tired
Quite so even
Mountain Dew is my prop
Still have until Saturday Night for Wifey to get back
Saturday Night’s alright
Ummm… alright, alright?
I have been writing things out today with a pencil on actual paper
My hand is cramping
It really is quite pitiful
My hand is actually hurting

I am hungry and thirsty

To mix things up a bit, tonight is going to be a movie night for Little Man
Provided that he is not tooo all dirty
